Description

Crispy on the outside and gooey on the inside, these potato cheese sticks are the perfect savory snack or appetizer.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 large potatoes (boiled and mashed)
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or mozzarella)
  • ½ cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 egg
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • Garlic powder (optional)
  • Paprika (optional)

Instructions

  1. Mash boiled potatoes until smooth. Mix with egg, flour, salt, and pepper.
  2. Take a portion, place cheese in the center, and seal.
  3. Roll into even stick shapes.
  4. Dip in breadcrumbs for crispiness.
  5. Fry at 180°C or bake until golden.

Notes

For extra crispiness, double coat the sticks in breadcrumbs. Serve hot for the best cheesy pull.
