Description

Simple and flavorful oven-roasted sardines with fresh lemon, garlic, and herbs, delivering a light and Mediterranean-inspired dish.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 500g fresh sardines
  • 3 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic (sliced)
  • 1 lemon
  • Fresh parsley
  • Fresh oregano
  • Sea salt
  • Black pepper
  • Red pepper flakes (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 200°C.
  2. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  3. Arrange lemon slices and half of the herbs on the sheet.
  4. Place sardines on top in a single layer.
  5. Drizzle with olive oil and lemon juice.
  6. Add garlic slices and season with salt and pepper.
  7. Bake for 10–12 minutes until cooked through.
  8. Garnish with remaining herbs and a drizzle of olive oil.
