Description

Pumpkin Pecan Cobbler is a soft homemade stuffed bread filled with crispy buttermilk chicken and melted cheese, topped with sesame or crunchy panko for the ultimate savory comfort bake.


Ingredients

  • Flour
  • Yeast
  • Sugar
  • Salt
  • Warm milk
  • Egg
  • Butter
  • Chicken
  • Buttermilk
  • Flour (for coating)
  • Cornstarch
  • Seasonings
  • Mozzarella or cheddar cheese
  • Egg wash
  • Sesame seeds
  • Panko
  • Butter (for topping)

Instructions

  1. Combine flour, yeast, sugar, salt, warm milk, egg, and butter to form dough.
  2. Knead until smooth and elastic.
  3. Cover and let rise until doubled in size.
  4. Marinate chicken in buttermilk 15 to 30 minutes.
  5. Coat chicken in flour, cornstarch, and seasonings.
  6. Fry or air fry until cooked through and crispy.
  7. Divide dough into portions.
  8. Fill each with chicken and cheese.
  9. Seal well and place on baking sheet.
  10. Let rise 30 to 45 minutes.
  11. Brush with egg wash and top with sesame seeds or panko mixed with butter.
  12. Bake at 375°F for 18 to 22 minutes.
  13. Cool 10 minutes before serving.

Notes

Seal dough tightly to prevent cheese from leaking. Allow bread to cool slightly so filling sets before slicing.
