Description

Rich chocolate cookies with a refreshing hint of mint, loaded with chocolate chips for the perfect balance of indulgence and freshness.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • ½ cup cocoa powder
  • ½ tsp baking soda
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • ¾ cup butter (softened)
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • ½ tsp peppermint extract
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • Crushed mint candies (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F).
  2. Combine flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt in a bowl.
  3. Cream butter and sugar together until light and fluffy.
  4. Add egg, vanilla extract, and peppermint extract and mix well.
  5. Fold dry ingredients into the wet mixture until combined.
  6. Stir in chocolate chips and optional crushed mint candies.
  7. Scoop dough onto a baking tray.
  8. Bake for 10–12 minutes.
  9. Allow cookies to cool before serving.

Notes

For a stronger mint flavor, slightly increase peppermint extract or top with extra crushed mint candies after baking.
