Description

Soft baked egg bread loaded with melty cheese, rich flavor, and a golden top—perfect for a cozy and satisfying meal.


Ingredients

  • 6 slices bread (thick-cut)
  • 4 eggs
  • ½ cup milk
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (mozzarella or cheddar)
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • Fresh parsley (optional)
  • Chili flakes (optional)
  • Cooked vegetables (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F).
  2. Grease a baking dish and arrange bread slices evenly.
  3. Whisk eggs, milk, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder in a bowl.
  4. Stir in half of the shredded cheese into the egg mixture.
  5. Pour the mixture evenly over the bread slices.
  6. Sprinkle the remaining cheese on top.
  7. Bake for 20–25 minutes until golden and fully set.
  8. Garnish with parsley or chili flakes and serve warm.

Notes

For extra flavor, add cooked vegetables or a mix of cheeses. Best served fresh out of the oven.
