- 6 slices bread (thick-cut)
- 4 eggs
- ½ cup milk
- 1 cup shredded cheese (mozzarella or cheddar)
- 2 tbsp butter
- ½ tsp salt
- ½ tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- Fresh parsley (optional)
- Chili flakes (optional)
- Cooked vegetables (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F).
- Grease a baking dish and arrange bread slices evenly.
- Whisk eggs, milk, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder in a bowl.
- Stir in half of the shredded cheese into the egg mixture.
- Pour the mixture evenly over the bread slices.
- Sprinkle the remaining cheese on top.
- Bake for 20–25 minutes until golden and fully set.
- Garnish with parsley or chili flakes and serve warm.
Notes
For extra flavor, add cooked vegetables or a mix of cheeses. Best served fresh out of the oven.
