Description

All the flavors of a juicy cheeseburger baked into a hearty, cheesy pie! Loaded with beef, bacon, and a golden Bisquick topping — perfect for weeknight comfort food.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef (80/20 works best)
  • 6 strips bacon, chopped
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • ¼ cup ketchup
  • 2 Tbsp mustard
  • 1 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 ½ cups shredded cheddar cheese (divided)
  • ½ cup Bisquick mix or all-purpose baking mix
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 large eggs

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Grease a 9-inch pie dish or similar baking pan.
  2. In a skillet, cook chopped bacon until crisp. Remove and set aside. Drain most of the grease, leaving about 1 tablespoon. Add ground beef and onion, cooking until beef is browned and onion softens. Stir in garlic powder, salt, pepper, ketchup, mustard, and Worcestershire sauce. Mix in half of the cheese and all the cooked bacon.
  3. Spread the beef mixture evenly in the prepared pie dish. In a bowl, whisk together baking mix, milk, and eggs until smooth. Pour batter evenly over the beef, then sprinkle remaining cheese on top.
  4. Bake for 25–30 minutes, until the top is golden brown and center is set. Let cool for 5 minutes before slicing. Serve warm with your favorite burger toppings like pickles, lettuce, or a drizzle of burger sauce.

Notes

Great for meal prep or potlucks! Reheat leftovers in the oven for the best texture. Add jalapeños or barbecue sauce for a fun twist.
