Description

This Masterclass White Sangria with Citrus and Amaretto is a refreshing pitcher cocktail made with crisp white wine, smooth amaretto, fresh citrus, and sparkling soda. Perfect for summer gatherings, brunches, and celebrations.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 bottle (750ml) dry white wine, chilled
  • 120ml Amaretto liqueur
  • 60ml fresh orange juice
  • 1 medium orange, thinly sliced
  • 1 medium lemon, thinly sliced
  • 1 medium lime, thinly sliced
  • 100g fresh strawberries or green apple slices (optional)
  • 300ml chilled club soda, sparkling water, or ginger ale
  • Fresh mint sprigs, for garnish
  • Ice cubes, for serving

Instructions

  1. Wash the orange, lemon, and lime thoroughly.
  2. Slice each fruit into thin rounds.
  3. Add the citrus slices and optional strawberries or apple slices to a large glass pitcher.
  4. Gently press the fruit with the back of a wooden spoon to release some juice.
  5. Pour in the chilled white wine, Amaretto, and fresh orange juice.
  6. Stir well to combine.
  7. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, preferably 4 hours.
  8. Just before serving, pour in the chilled club soda, sparkling water, or ginger ale.
  9. Stir gently to preserve the bubbles.
  10. Fill serving glasses with ice.
  11. Pour the sangria over the ice, making sure each glass gets some of the marinated fruit.
  12. Garnish with fresh mint sprigs and serve immediately.

Notes

For the best flavor, allow the sangria to chill for at least 4 hours so the citrus infuses the wine. Add the sparkling beverage only right before serving to maintain its refreshing fizz.
