Ingredients

- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1.5 to 2 tbsp high-quality matcha powder (sifted)
- 3/4 cup unsalted butter (softened)
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup light brown sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup white chocolate chips
Instructions
- Sift the flour, baking soda, salt, and matcha powder together in a bowl.
- Cream the softened butter with granulated sugar and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add the egg and vanilla extract, then mix until smooth.
- Gradually incorporate the dry ingredients into the wet mixture without overmixing.
- Fold in the white chocolate chips gently.
- Chill the dough for at least 30 minutes.
- Preheat oven to 175°C (350°F).
- Scoop dough onto a baking tray and bake for 8–10 minutes until edges are set.
- Let cool before serving.
Notes
Use high-quality matcha for a vibrant color and rich flavor. Do not overbake to keep cookies soft and chewy.
