Ingredients

- 1.5 lbs jalapenos
- 2 cups granulated sugar
- 2/3 cup apple cider vinegar
- 1/2 tsp turmeric
- 1/2 tsp celery seed
- 1 tsp granulated garlic
- 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
Instructions
- Bring vinegar, sugar, and spices to a boil.
- Reduce heat and simmer for 5 minutes.
- Add jalapenos and return to a boil.
- Simmer for 4 minutes.
- Transfer jalapenos to jars using a slotted spoon.
- Boil syrup for 6 minutes until thickened.
- Pour syrup over jalapenos.
- Let cool and refrigerate.
Notes
Do not overcook the jalapeños to maintain their crisp texture. The syrup thickens further as it cools.
