Description

A hearty and savory cheeseburger pie loaded with seasoned beef, caramelized mushrooms, and melty Swiss cheese in a soft, baked filling.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 cup mushrooms (sliced)
  • 1 cup shredded Swiss cheese
  • 1 small onion (chopped)
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • ½ cup flour
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • Garlic (minced) (optional)
  • Worcestershire sauce (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F).
  2. Brown ground beef in a skillet until fully cooked.
  3. Cook mushrooms and onions until golden and caramelized.
  4. Combine beef, mushrooms, onions, salt, pepper, and optional seasonings.
  5. Whisk eggs, milk, and flour to create a smooth batter.
  6. Spread the beef mixture into a greased baking dish.
  7. Pour batter evenly over the filling.
  8. Sprinkle shredded Swiss cheese on top.
  9. Bake for 30–35 minutes until set and golden.
  10. Let cool slightly before slicing and serving.

Notes

For extra flavor, add a splash of Worcestershire sauce or extra garlic to the beef mixture.
