Description
This refreshing Lemon Water combines fresh lemon juice, aromatic lemon zest, and filtered water for a simple, invigorating drink. Optional ginger or cayenne adds an extra layer of flavor and warmth.

- 16 oz (480ml) filtered water
- ½ fresh organic lemon (juiced)
- 1 tsp finely grated lemon zest
- Tiny pinch cayenne pepper (optional)
- ½ inch fresh ginger root (optional)
Instructions
- Thoroughly wash the lemon and grate 1 teaspoon of zest directly into a glass.
- Cut the lemon in half and squeeze the juice from one half into the glass, removing any seeds.
- Add the cayenne pepper or fresh ginger if using.
- Pour the filtered water over the lemon mixture.
- Stir vigorously for 30 seconds to distribute the lemon zest and flavors.
- Serve immediately and enjoy.
Notes
For a warmer drink, use lukewarm water. For a refreshing version, use chilled water. Rinse your mouth with plain water after drinking to help protect tooth enamel.
