Ingredients

  • 2 large onions (sweet or yellow)
  • 1 cup almond flour
  • 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • Chili powder (optional)
  • Italian seasoning (optional)
  • Coconut flour (optional for extra crisp)

Instructions

  1. Slice onions into thick rings and carefully separate them.
  2. In a bowl, mix almond flour, parmesan cheese, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk the eggs until smooth.
  4. Dip each onion ring into the egg mixture, then coat with the dry mixture. Repeat for extra crispiness.
  5. Place coated onion rings in the fridge for 10–15 minutes to help the coating set.
  6. Cook using your preferred method: air fry at 180°C for 10–12 minutes, bake at 200°C for 15–20 minutes, or shallow fry for 2–3 minutes per side until golden and crispy.

Notes

For extra crunch, double coat the onion rings with almond flour mixture. Serve immediately for best texture and crispiness.
