- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- 1/2 teaspoon caraway seeds (optional)
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce (optional)
- Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add ground beef and cook for 5 to 7 minutes until browned, breaking it apart as it cooks.
- Drain excess fat if needed.
- Add butter, diced onion, and minced garlic.
- Cook for 2 to 3 minutes until fragrant.
- Stir in sliced carrots and chopped cabbage.
- Season with dried thyme, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper.
- Cover and cook for 10 to 12 minutes, stirring occasionally, until cabbage is tender but not mushy.
- Add Worcestershire sauce and caraway seeds if using.
- Taste and adjust seasoning as needed.
- Garnish with fresh parsley before serving if desired.
Notes
For extra depth of flavor, let the cabbage lightly caramelize before covering. Serve hot as a complete one-pan meal.
