Ingredients

  • 4 cups fresh broccoli florets
  • 2 large Honeycrisp apples (diced)
  • 1/2 cup red onion (finely diced)
  • 1/2 cup cooked bacon bits
  • 1/3 cup sunflower seeds
  • 1/3 cup dried cranberries
  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • 3 tbsp sugar or honey
  • Pinch of black pepper

Instructions

  1. Wash broccoli thoroughly and dry completely.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, apple cider vinegar, sugar, and black pepper.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, combine broccoli florets, diced apples, red onion, bacon bits, sunflower seeds, and dried cranberries.
  4. Pour dressing over salad ingredients.
  5. Toss until evenly coated.
  6. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour before serving.

Notes

Dry broccoli thoroughly before mixing to help the dressing coat evenly. Chilling enhances flavor and softens the broccoli slightly.
