Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup fresh dandelion (leaves and roots)
  • 2 cups filtered water
  • 1 slice fresh ginger (optional)
  • 1 lemon wedge (optional)
  • 1 tsp raw honey (optional)

Instructions

  1. Soak dandelions in cold water with a splash of apple cider vinegar to clean thoroughly.
  2. Chop roots into small pieces and tear leaves by hand.
  3. Add roots and water to a pot and simmer for 10–15 minutes.
  4. Remove from heat and add leaves and flowers.
  5. Steep for 5 minutes.
  6. Strain tea into a mug using a fine-mesh sieve.
  7. Add honey, ginger, or lemon if desired before serving.

Notes

Use young dandelion leaves for a milder flavor. Adjust steeping time depending on desired bitterness and strength.
