Description

De délicieuses boules chocolatées moelleuses enrobées d’un mélange orange coco-noisette inspiré des célèbres bonbons butternut.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups chocolate cake crumbs
  • 1/4 cup condensed milk
  • 2 tbsp cocoa powder
  • 1 cup desiccated coconut
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour (toasted)
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp nutmeg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Orange food coloring
  • 1/4 cup melted butter or sugar syrup

Instructions

  1. Mix chocolate cake crumbs, cocoa powder, and condensed milk until a dough forms.
  2. Roll mixture into small 1-inch balls.
  3. Toast flour in a dry pan until lightly browned and nutty, then cool.
  4. Combine toasted flour, coconut, powdered sugar, and nutmeg.
  5. Add orange food coloring and vanilla extract, rubbing mixture together until evenly orange.
  6. Brush each chocolate ball with melted butter or dip lightly in sugar syrup.
  7. Roll balls generously in the orange coating mixture.
  8. Chill in the refrigerator for 30 minutes before serving.

Notes

Toasted flour gives the coating its signature nutty flavor. Keep the coating dry and crumbly for the authentic butternut texture.
