Ingredients

- 1/2 cup fresh strawberries
- 1 tsp agave or honey
- 1 1/2 tsp ceremonial grade matcha powder
- 2 oz hot water (80°C)
- 1 cup oat milk or whole milk
- Ice cubes
Instructions
- Mash strawberries with agave or honey until chunky.
- Spoon strawberry mixture into the bottom of a tall glass.
- Sift matcha powder into a bowl.
- Add hot water and whisk in a W motion until frothy.
- Fill the glass with ice cubes.
- Slowly pour milk over the ice.
- Gently pour whisked matcha over the top.
- Serve immediately and enjoy the layered effect.
Notes
Use water below boiling temperature to preserve the delicate flavor of ceremonial matcha. Fresh strawberries create the best natural sweetness and color.
