Description

This Frozen Mango Margarita is bursting with sweet tropical mango, bright lime, and citrus flavors blended into a smooth, icy drink. Easily make it as a classic tequila cocktail or a refreshing alcohol-free mocktail for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 cups frozen mango chunks
  • 60 ml (2 oz) fresh lime juice
  • 120 ml (4 oz) Blanco tequila (cocktail) or sparkling water/orange juice (mocktail)
  • 60 ml (2 oz) Triple Sec or Cointreau (cocktail) or 30 ml (1 oz) fresh orange juice (mocktail)
  • 15–30 ml (0.5–1 oz) agave nectar
  • Coarse sea salt or Tajín seasoning (for the rim)
  • Lime wedges (for rimming)
  • Ice cubes (optional, for mocktail)

Instructions

  1. Rub the rims of two glasses with a lime wedge.
  2. Dip the rims into coarse sea salt, Tajín, or a mixture of both.
  3. Place the glasses in the freezer to chill.
  4. Add the frozen mango, fresh lime juice, and agave nectar to a high-speed blender.
  5. For the cocktail version, add the Blanco tequila and Triple Sec or Cointreau.
  6. For the mocktail version, add sparkling water or fresh orange juice and optional ice cubes.
  7. Blend on high speed until smooth and slushy.
  8. If the mixture is too thick, add a splash of sparkling water or juice.
  9. Pour evenly into the prepared glasses.
  10. Serve immediately and enjoy.

Notes

Use frozen mango for the thickest texture. Adjust the agave nectar depending on the sweetness of the mango. Chill the serving glasses beforehand for an extra-refreshing frozen drink.
