Description

Soft, airy, and irresistibly fluffy milk buns filled with melty chocolate chips—perfect for a sweet homemade treat.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 1 packet active dry yeast
  • 1 cup warm milk
  • 1 egg
  • 3 tbsp butter (softened)
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1 egg + milk (for egg wash)
  • Optional sugar glaze

Instructions

  1. Mix warm milk, sugar, and yeast, then let sit until foamy.
  2. Add flour, egg, butter, and salt, then knead until smooth dough forms.
  3. Cover and let the dough rise until doubled in size.
  4. Gently fold chocolate chips into the dough.
  5. Divide dough and shape into round buns.
  6. Let buns rest for 30–40 minutes for the second rise.
  7. Brush with egg wash and bake at 180°C (350°F) for 18–20 minutes.
  8. Allow buns to cool slightly before serving.

Notes

For extra sweetness, drizzle with a light sugar glaze after baking. Best enjoyed warm and fresh.
