- 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken thighs or breasts, cut into bite-sized cubes
- 2 cups fresh broccoli florets, cut small
- 3 tbsp unsalted butter
- 1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- ½ tsp onion powder
- ¼ tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
- Salt, to taste
- Black pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Pat the chicken cubes dry with paper towels.
- Season the chicken with salt, black pepper, and onion powder.
- Heat the olive oil and 1 tablespoon of butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add the chicken in a single layer and sear undisturbed for 4 to 5 minutes until golden brown.
- Flip the chicken and cook for 2 more minutes.
- Add the broccoli florets to the skillet alongside the chicken.
- Add the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter, minced garlic, and red pepper flakes if using.
- Reduce the heat to medium and stir continuously for 3 to 4 minutes until the broccoli is tender-crisp.
- Toss everything together until the garlic butter glaze coats the chicken and broccoli evenly.
- Serve hot and enjoy.
Notes
For extra flavor, use chicken thighs. Avoid overcooking the broccoli to maintain its bright color and tender-crisp texture.
