Description
Sweet caramelized pineapple rings coated in cinnamon sugar and crisped to perfection in the air fryer for an easy tropical dessert or snack.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 fresh pineapple, peeled, cored, and sliced into ½-inch rings or chunks
- 2 tbsp brown sugar or coconut sugar
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- Tiny pinch of salt
- 1 tsp cornstarch
- Olive oil or coconut oil cooking spray
Instructions
- Pat the pineapple slices completely dry with paper towels.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the brown sugar, cinnamon, salt, and cornstarch.
- Press each side of the pineapple slices into the sugar mixture until lightly coated.
- Spray the air fryer basket with a little oil.
- Arrange the pineapple slices in a single layer without touching.
- Lightly spray the tops of the pineapple slices.
- Air fry at 200°C (400°F) for 8 to 10 minutes, flipping halfway through.
- Cook until the edges are deeply golden brown and slightly bubbly.
- Serve warm as a snack, with grilled chicken, or alongside vanilla bean ice cream.
Notes
Drying the pineapple well helps the coating caramelize beautifully. Avoid overcrowding the air fryer basket for the crispiest edges.
