Description

Crispy, golden shrimp tossed in a creamy, sweet and spicy Bang Bang sauce that delivers the perfect balance of crunch and heat.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb shrimp
  • 1/2 cup buttermilk
  • 3/4 cup cornstarch
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 3 tbsp Thai sweet chili sauce
  • 1 tbsp Sriracha
  • 1 tsp honey
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Soak shrimp in buttermilk for 10 minutes.
  2. Coat shrimp in cornstarch and garlic powder.
  3. Heat oil to 190°C.
  4. Fry shrimp in batches until golden.
  5. Drain on a wire rack.
  6. Whisk sauce ingredients together.
  7. Toss shrimp in sauce.
  8. Garnish and serve.

Notes

Draining shrimp on a wire rack instead of paper towels keeps them crispy by preventing trapped steam.
