Description

These Cherry Cheesecake Egg Rolls feature a creamy cheesecake filling and sweet cherry center wrapped in a crispy golden shell. Perfect for parties, holidays, or an easy dessert craving.


Ingredients

  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • â…“ cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
  • ½ cup premium cherry pie filling
  • 8 standard egg roll wrappers
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tbsp water
  • Vegetable oil, for frying
  • 2 tbsp powdered sugar, for dusting
  • Honey, for drizzling (optional)

Instructions

  1. Beat cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy.
  2. Lay an egg roll wrapper on a work surface in a diamond position.
  3. Spoon about 2 tablespoons of cream cheese filling into the lower center of the wrapper.
  4. Top with 1 tablespoon of cherry pie filling.
  5. Whisk together the egg and water to create an egg wash.
  6. Brush the top edges of the wrapper with egg wash.
  7. Fold the bottom corner over the filling.
  8. Fold in both side corners and roll tightly to seal.
  9. Repeat with the remaining wrappers and filling.
  10. Heat 1 inch of vegetable oil in a heavy skillet to 175°C (350°F).
  11. Fry 3–4 egg rolls at a time for 2–3 minutes per side until golden brown and crispy.
  12. Transfer to a wire rack or paper towel-lined plate to drain.
  13. Cool for 5 minutes before serving.
  14. Dust with powdered sugar or drizzle with honey before serving.

Notes

Seal the wrappers tightly to prevent filling from leaking during frying. Serve warm for the best contrast between the crispy shell and creamy cheesecake center.
