Description

Golden, cheesy taco sticks stuffed with seasoned beef and melty cheese — a fun, handheld twist on classic tacos perfect for parties or weeknight dinners!

Ingredients

Scale
  • (Makes 12 taco sticks)

For the Filling

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 Tbsp olive oil
  • 2 Tbsp taco seasoning (homemade or store-bought)
  • ½ cup tomato sauce
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella

For the Dough

  • 1 package (13.8 oz) refrigerated pizza dough
  • 2 Tbsp melted butter
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp dried oregano

Optional Toppings

  • Fresh cilantro, chopped
  • Sour cream, for dipping
  • Salsa or guacamole, for serving

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Filling: Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add ground beef and cook until browned. Drain excess fat. Stir in taco seasoning and tomato sauce. Simmer 5 minutes, then remove from heat to cool slightly. 💡 Tip: Cool filling before adding to dough to prevent tearing.
  2. Assemble the Taco Sticks: Roll pizza dough into a rectangle (about 12×16 inches). Cut into 12 equal rectangles. Spoon beef mixture down the center of each piece. Sprinkle both cheeses evenly. Fold the sides over and pinch edges to seal tightly.
  3. Bake: Place sticks seam-side down on parchment-lined baking sheet. Brush tops with melted butter, garlic powder, and oregano. Bake at 425°F (218°C) for 10–12 minutes, or until golden brown. 💡 Optional: Sprinkle extra cheese on top for an oozy, crispy finish.
  4. Serve & Enjoy: Serve warm with salsa, sour cream, or queso for dipping. Each bite delivers cheesy, seasoned perfection wrapped in golden dough!

Notes

You can substitute the beef with shredded chicken or black beans for a different twist. Store leftovers in the fridge and reheat in the oven for a crispy texture.
