- 3/4 cup sugar
- 2 eggs
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp cornstarch
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 tsp almond extract
- 4 cups powdered sugar
- 1/2 cup butter
- 2 tbsp heavy cream
- Pink food coloring
Instructions
- Beat cold butter and sugar until combined.
- Add eggs and extracts.
- Mix in flour, cornstarch, and baking powder.
- Divide into large dough balls.
- Bake at 190°C for 10–12 minutes.
- Cool on pan for 15 minutes.
- Frost once completely cool.
Notes
Using cold butter and not flattening the dough keeps the cookies thick and soft like bakery-style treats.
