Description

A whimsical and show-stopping appetizer platter featuring a honey-kissed cheese ball shaped like a beehive paired with adorable bumblebee deviled eggs—perfect for spring gatherings and celebrations.


Ingredients

  • 8 oz cream cheese
  • 1 1/2 cups sharp cheddar (shredded)
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1 tsp Dijon mustard
  • 1/2 cup crushed pecans or cornmeal
  • Sliced almonds
  • Black olives
  • 6 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tsp apple cider vinegar
  • Salt
  • Black pepper

Instructions

  1. Beat cream cheese, cheddar, honey, and mustard until smooth.
  2. Shape into a dome and refrigerate for 1 hour.
  3. Roll in crushed pecans or cornmeal.
  4. Slice boiled eggs and remove yolks.
  5. Mash yolks with mayonnaise, vinegar, salt, and pepper.
  6. Fill egg whites with yolk mixture.
  7. Add olive strips for stripes.
  8. Insert almond slices as wings.
  9. Decorate cheese ball with mini bees.
  10. Arrange on a platter and serve.

Notes

Chill the cheese ball well before coating for the best shape and use slightly older eggs for easier peeling.
