Description
A tangy, savory marinade made with apple cider vinegar, garlic, mustard, and herbs — perfect for tenderizing and flavoring chicken or pork.
Ingredients
Scale
- ½ cup raw apple cider vinegar
- ¼ cup olive oil
- 3 tbsp soy sauce (or coconut aminos)
- 2 tbsp honey or brown sugar
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
- 1 tsp dried thyme (or 1 tbsp fresh)
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- ½ tsp black pepper
- ½ tsp sea salt
Instructions
- In a medium bowl, whisk together vinegar, oil, soy sauce, honey, garlic, mustard, thyme, paprika, salt, and pepper.
- Place chicken or pork in a resealable bag or shallow dish.
- Pour marinade over meat, ensuring even coating.
- Refrigerate for the recommended time (chicken: 1–2 hours, pork: 2–4 hours).
- Cook meat as desired — grill, bake, or sear.
Notes
Avoid marinating longer than 24 hours to prevent the meat from becoming too acidic. Works best with chicken breasts, thighs, pork chops, or tenderloin.
