Description

Crispy, cheesy air fryer calzones stuffed with pizza sauce, mozzarella, and your favorite fillings. Perfect for a quick dinner or snack.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb pizza dough (homemade or store-bought)
  • 1 cup pizza sauce (plus extra for dipping)
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup pepperoni slices (optional)
  • 1/2 cup cooked sausage or veggies
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil (for brushing)
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

Instructions

  1. Prep the Dough: Divide dough into 4 equal pieces. Roll each into a 6–7 inch circle.
  2. Fill the Calzones: Spread 2 tablespoons pizza sauce on half of each dough circle. Add cheese, pepperoni, sausage, or veggies.
  3. Seal: Fold dough over filling to form a half-moon. Press edges with a fork to seal.
  4. Brush & Season: Brush tops with olive oil. Sprinkle with garlic powder and Italian seasoning.
  5. Air Fry: Preheat air fryer to 375°F (190°C). Place calzones in basket (not overcrowded). Air fry 8–10 minutes, flipping halfway, until golden brown.
  6. Serve: Cool slightly. Serve warm with marinara or ranch for dipping.

Notes

Customize calzones with your favorite fillings—mushrooms, spinach, or extra cheese. Works great with homemade or store-bought pizza dough.
