- 1 lb pizza dough (homemade or store-bought)
- 1 cup pizza sauce (plus extra for dipping)
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup pepperoni slices (optional)
- 1/2 cup cooked sausage or veggies
- 1 tablespoon olive oil (for brushing)
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
Instructions
- Prep the Dough: Divide dough into 4 equal pieces. Roll each into a 6–7 inch circle.
- Fill the Calzones: Spread 2 tablespoons pizza sauce on half of each dough circle. Add cheese, pepperoni, sausage, or veggies.
- Seal: Fold dough over filling to form a half-moon. Press edges with a fork to seal.
- Brush & Season: Brush tops with olive oil. Sprinkle with garlic powder and Italian seasoning.
- Air Fry: Preheat air fryer to 375°F (190°C). Place calzones in basket (not overcrowded). Air fry 8–10 minutes, flipping halfway, until golden brown.
- Serve: Cool slightly. Serve warm with marinara or ranch for dipping.
